Variety of Georgia Hosts Super Bowl Bikes for Kids Event on Saturday, Feb. 1

Super Bowl weekend is here, and Variety of Georgia – The Children’s Charity is taking the team spirit beyond the football field with a special celebration for children in need! On Saturday, February 1, underprivileged youth from McKendree Elementary School will score 25 bikes, provided by Variety of Georgia, during the Super Bowl Bikes for Kids event. Through generous donations, Variety of Georgia, a non-profit dedicated to enriching, improving and fulfilling the lives of children living with disabilities and disadvantages, is able to keep the Bikes for Kids program alive. The initiative not only provides recreational, therapeutic and transportation opportunities for children in need, but it also offers them the freedom and independence to experience life.

The bike presentation will take place following a FREE movie screening of “The Nut Job” at The Movie Tavern in Suwanee. Participating families will arrive at the theater at 8:00 a.m. to check in for the 8:30 a.m. show with complementary popcorn and a drink. No matter which team these children are pulling for in the big game, this Super Bowl Bikes for Kids event is sure to be a victory for everyone!

About Variety of Georgia, Tent 21

Tent 21 was established in Atlanta in 1939 as the 21st chapter of Variety International, commonly known as the World's Greatest Children's Charity. Variety of Georgia is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The charity’s mission is to enrich, improve, and fulfill the lives of children with disabilities or disadvantages. Echoing the first Variety fundraising event, a circus-themed affair held under a big-top, clubs are often called "Tents" and members "Barkers.” Following the tradition of the founders of the first Tent in Pittsburgh, Pa., 80 percent of the members of Tent 21 hail from the motion picture industry, though membership is open to all who care about children.
