Car Wash to Raise Thousands to Support Men, Women and Children with Developmental Disabilities

Tidal Wave Auto Spa to Donate 100% of Sales on April 20 to Annandale Village

Officials of Annandale Village hope that if the yellow “snow” that has drifted through the air this spring has turned your car or truck into a yellow submarine, you will wait until April 20 to get a car wash.  That’s because Tidal Wave Auto Spa is donating 100% of all car wash sales on April 20 to Annandale Village and The Joseph Sam’s School to support programs and services for men, women and children with developmental disabilities.

Annandale’s chief development officer, Keith Fenton, laughingly stated “You know it is time to wash the car when your neighbors begin writing “wash me” on the back window of your car.  But I am holding out until April 20.  This opportunity creates a large fundraising opportunity for both organizations.  With the downturn in the economy, every car washed and every dollar raised will be a tremendous help in our ability to serve the growing demands of those we are fortunate to serve.”

ABOUT TIDAL WAVE AUTO SPA

Tidal Wave prides itself on providing the best, cleanest, fastest, least expensive, most courteous, greenest car wash in America. Tidal Wave Auto Spa uses a self-contained conveyor-belt system to push the car through the wash apparatus.

The driver places the vehicle in neutral on the conveyor track and simply allows the belt to move the vehicle through each of the wash stations within the building.  These stations include the initial rinse, a soap cycle, a brush, and another rinse cycle. It finishes with an air-dry system similar to a blow dryer. After the dry cycle, the car is released from the conveyor belt and the driver is able to place the car into drive to continue on his or her way.  In addition, Tidal Wave offers the opportunity for customers to vacuum their vehicles for as long as they wish for no additional charge. Unsurprisingly, this added benefit is one of the most popular features of a Tidal Wave wash!
