Trash Pickup Dates Changing for Thanksgiving Week in Gwinnett

The holiday period will bring office closures and reschedulings to Suwanee and Gwinnett.

The Thanksgiving 2013 holiday will mean government office closures, and new days for trash pickup in Gwinnett County.

According to a Gwinnett County news release, Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28) is a trash and recycling holiday for residents of unincorporated areas in Gwinnett County. Collections scheduled on Thursday will be rescheduled for Friday, Nov. 29, and Friday collections will be reset for Saturday, Nov. 30.

Those collection days are the only ones affected by the holiday.

All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of the operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed for the holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29.

In the City of Suwanee, City Hall also will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
