Suwanee Park Offers Trip to Yellow Daisy Festival

George Pierce Park will be the starting point on Sept. 6.

People 50 and over can catch a trip from a Suwanee park to the Yellow Daisy Festival in Atlanta on Thursday, Sept. 6.

According to a Gwinnett County news release, the trip to the renowned festival from costs $16 per person.

The Yellow Daisy Festival is not just an ordinary arts and crafts show. In 43 years of running, the festival has been named one of the top three arts and crafts shows in the nation by Sunshine Artist magazine. The festival also includes live entertainment, such as clogging and live music, and good food.

The first pickup will be at 9:00 am at the George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center, 55 Buford Highway. Also there will be a second pickup at 9:30 am at the Bethesda Park Senior Center, 225 Bethesda Church Road in Lawrenceville.

Cost does not include money for lunch, and since there are over 400 artists and crafters from 38 states, you will need to bring additional money for purchases.
