It's getting dangerous for Suwanee restaurants.

Cafe Gourmandises, which once billed itself as the "best French restaurant in Atlanta," has closed. The suite, in a plaza in the 600 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, is vacant, with no postings to indicate reasons or a possible reopening elsewhere.

The cafe offered gourmet-themed entrees and sweet treats.

Chef and owner Christophe Houy was born in France and graduated Versailles Culinary school at the age of 18. He also was a Chef Instructor at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts before opening Gourmandises in Suwanee, according to a Suwanee Patch review.

This comes at a time when Olde Towne Tavern & Grille, not far away at Suwanee Town Center, closed in a bankruptcy proceeding.
