Suwanee Has the (Refundable) Ticket for BCS Championship Game

A local business is offering a no-risk BCS Championship travel package.

Attention, Georgia Bulldogs fans: Want to go ahead and book a trip to Miami for the 2013 BCS title game? Apparently, there is a no-risk way for tickets and lodging, thanks to a Suwanee-based business.

Esoteric Sports already is beating the drum for its BCS Championship package, according to its website and Facebook page. The three-night deal, which includes hotel accommodations and tickets, starts at $2,900 per person, and based on double room occupancy. Package dates are January 5-8, 2013; the BCS title game is January 7 in Miami.

Also, the Esoteric Sports website says, "If your team does not advance to the BCS Championship Game, your $300.00 per person deposit is fully refundable."

Esoteric Sports' price could be a bargain. A check with stubhub.com on November 26 showed ticket prices ranging from $1,620 to $420,420. Really.

Georgia will play Alabama for the SEC title on December 1, with the winner all but guaranteed a spot in the BCS title game. Notre Dame (No. 1 in BCS standings) clinched a spot Saturday by beating USC.

Alabama is the defending BCS champ, and a Crimson Tide fan already has endorsed Esoteric Sports' services for the BCS trip package.

The Facebook posting read: "We had a wonderful experience with our travel to New Orleans last January for the BCS. Esoteric Sports took care of everything and did an exceptional job. All we had to do is drive down and enjoy Alabama's 14th Championship. Roll Tide!"

Better hurry: The website said there are "only 11 rooms left as of 11/25." Esoteric Sports' phone recording Sunday (November 25) said that the office was closed for Thanksgiving and would reopen November 26.

Accommodations would be at Lowe's Miami Beach Hotel; transfers to the game and the airport are included in the package price. Air fare is not part of the package, though air optional air service from Birmingham to Fort Lauderdale is available.
