GEORGIA COMPANY EYES TWINKIES MAKER: , the makers of Twinkies and other popular snack foods, according to Patch and other media reports. Flowers makes the Sunbeam and Nature's Own brands.

NO-RISK BCS TICKET PACKAGE: A Suwanee-based travel agency is touting a special ticket-travel package for the BCS Championship game in January 2013. Esoteric Sports' deal requires a $300 deposit, which is refunded if "your team" -- either Alabama or Georgia, in this case -- is not invited to the big game.

NORTH GWINNETT ADVANCES IN PLAYOFFS: The Suwanee school overwhelmed defending champion Grayson 28-10 on Friday to advance in the AAAAAA playoffs. Next foe: at Lovejoy.

ARRESTS IN GWINNETT SLAYING: Gwinnett police arrested two neighbors of a 64-year-old Lawrenceville woman who was killed shortly before Thanksgiving. One of the suspects has been charged with felony murder.
