Mucho Macho Man, who has won several times in 2012 after a third-place finish in the 2011 Kentucky Derby, will again test a top thoroughbred racing event on Saturday (November 3).
"3M," who is owned by Dean and Patti Reeves of Suwanee, will run in the prestigious Breeders' Cup Classic in Arcadia, Calif. The race will be televised on NBC (8-9 p.m.)
And a leading racing expert is picking Mucho Macho Man to win the race.
"The son of Macho Uno ... appears to be sitting on a big race for trainer Kathy Ritvo, recording several sensational workouts in preparation," writes James Scully of brisnet.com.
In a news release, Patti Reeves noted that Mucho Macho Man won this year’s Florida Sunshine Millions Stakes, the Gulfstream Park Handicap, Belmont’s Grade II Suburban, and was beaten a neck by To Honor And Serve in the Woodward for heart-transplant recipient trainer Ritvo.
"Mucho Macho Man was an immature, big-and-gangly colt when finishing third in last year’s Kentucky Derby, but he’s developed into a professional at age 4," Scully writes.
