North Gwinnett Climbs in Latest AAAAAA Ranking

Bulldogs are now No. 4 as playoffs begin. Four Gwinnett teams are in the Top 10.

As the 2012 AAAAAA football playoffs begin, North Gwinnett continues to advance in the state rankings.

The Bulldogs, who defeated Suwanee rival Peachtree Ridge last Friday to close the regular season, now are No. 4 statewide, according to Georgia High School Football Daily.

Norcross, which ended North's three-year run as Region 7-AAAAAA champions, is ranked No. 2. Defending state champ Grayson is No. 3, and South Gwinnett came in at No. 10.

The Bulldogs host Johns Creek on Friday in their playoff opener.
