Collins Hill Athlete Charged in Father's Death
Amadi Obinna Stephens, of Lawrewnceville, is charged with vehicular homicide. He is currently a senior at Collins Hill High in Suwanee.
A Collins Hill High School football and basketball player is out on bond after being charged in the accident that killed his father earlier this year.

He was arrested and released from the Gwinnett County Detention Center on Aug. 6, the day before the start of his senior year. All total the charges carry a $4,250 bond.

According to an AJC report, Stephens was driving the family's SUV on April 20 when he lost control of the vehicle. His father, Bruce, was thrown from the vehicle, and subsequently died.
The father was not wearing a seat belt.
