Gwinnett Police are asking the public's help in locating a man suspected of armed robberies of a Suwanee gas station/convenience store and other similar crimes in the area.
Rufus Jerome Smith, 25, should be considered armed and dangerous, according to a statement by GCPD spokesperson Cpl. Jake Smith. He is about 6-foot-0, 180 pounds, police said. He has a tattoo of the word "man" on his right shoulder.
He is believed to be responsible for eight armed robberies in Gwinnett, primarily targeting gas stations and convenience stores.
One of these robberies was in early May at the . Smith is wanted for aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. No one was injured in these crimes, although Smith fired shots from a handgun in two of the incidents.
