UPDATE: Gwinnett Police To Hold Gun Safety Seminar

The public is welcome. It's set for April 4.

Attention, gun owners, and those who are interested in firearms matters. The Gwinnett Police Department will hold a Firearms Safety Seminar on Thursday, April 4. Time is 7-9:30 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville.

According to a GCPD news release, personnel from the Gwinnett Police Academy will cover several topics, including Georgia carry and deadly force laws, how to obtain a carry permit, personal defense, and types of weapons and their use.

Attendees are not to bring firearms to this event and will have to pass a security checkpoint.

Seating is limited to 300, so attendees are asked to register by emailing gunsafety@gwinnettcounty.com.
