A Lawrenceville parent from  in Grayson was arrested this morning and charged with disruption of a public school, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and remaining on school property without probable cause.

According to jail records, Patricia Swilley of 835 Buie Way, Lawrenceville, was arrested at the school and booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center at 10:34 a.m. this morning. She bonded out at 2:40 p.m. on a total bond of $8,300 - $1,300 on each of the charges relating to the school and $5,700 for obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

According to a report on CBS Atlanta News, Gwinnett County Public School officials said Swilley, who allegedly has a history of disrupting the school and not following school rules, was recently issued a criminal trespass warning banning her from the campus. She allegedly refused to leave the building after entering to take pictures of her daughter participating in field day activities. According to the report, Swilley's husband told CBS Atlanta News his wife is the yearbook photographer, which is why she was at the school.

Does everyone know that Mrs. Ledfords hubbie is 5 O and he's sits in the room with the Judges? I've been to the courts with Mrs. Swilley and the Judge "would not" give her the time nor the day. "Sadly" what kind of person would not allow a parent to visit their child in school... A sick puppy, a control freak! that's for sure!! If you think it's more to this story then the G C media is given you.. Trust ME!! It's a lot more...

Patricia Swilley was found guilty because the district attorney took her case to trial when she had no attorney to represent her. She did get an attorney but he had less than 24 hours to prepare for the case. It's easy to win a criminal case when your opponent is not prepared. However, the case law shows that Gwinnett County Schools violated Ms. Swilley's 14th Amendment constitutional rights by banning her from her child's school without any form of due process hearing to challenge Donna Ledford's absurd allegations -- going to the Georgia Aquarium, allegedly talking to other parents in the parking lot about PTA elections, asking cafeteria staff about the proper food portions. Another school district tried this tactic, and you should see how it ended --- the Washington ACLU puts it best. Click for the full story: http://bullyingwithinthepublicschools.blogspot.com/
