Man Barricaded at Suwanee Motel Arrested After Short SWAT Standoff
The incident occurred at Sun Suites on Celebration Drive.
A wanted man from Lawrenceville was arrested Thursday following a short SWAT standoff at a Suwanee motel.
Jeremy Gates, 25, who was wanted on a parole violation, was arrested at Sun Suites on Celebration Drive, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
Gates apparently barricaded himself in a room and Suwanee Police called in the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Officer SWAT team for assistance.
The SWAT team stormed the room and removed Gates a short time after 1 p.m.
