Gwinnett Man Charged With Battery on Father; Arrest Made in Suwanee

Gwinnett Police responded to a domestic situation in Lawrenceville.

A Gwinnett man was arrested in Suwanee on Thursday (January 2) on several charges after his father said his son assaulted him, police said. The arrest warrant described the suspect's actions as "brutal."

Gwinnett Police responded early December 30 to a call on Old Norcross Road in Lawrenceville. The victim said his son assaulted him, stopped him from calling 911, and left the location on foot, according to the incident report.

Police were unable to locate the suspect, Donyon Michael Kilpatrick, and so obtained warrants for battery, interfering with a call for emergency assistance, and criminal trespass. Gwinnett Sheriff's officers served the warrants on Kilpatrick at a Station Center Boulevard address in Suwanee on January 2.
