Murder Suspect in Atlanta Reportedly 'Tweets' From Jail

Report says the social-media use likely came from a cell phone, which is illegal in jail.

A Fulton County murder suspect has been posting messages on Twitter from his jail cell, according to a media report.

WSB-TV reported that inmate Devinchio Rogers posted pictures of prison food and what appears to be marijuana.

Former chief jailer Charles Felton told WSB of the tweets, "It’s very troubling. It’s frightening. It's beyond troubling.”

A spokesman for the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, which operates the jail, said the case is under investigation.

Smuggling contraband inside the Fulton jail has become a big problem in recent years. In June, an inmate used a small pistol to shoot another inmate. Investigators found the gun hidden in a toilet paper roll and stashed behind a ceiling tile. A sweep after the shooting found several cellphones and drugs.
