NEWS NEARBY: Several Car Break-ins Reported at Mall of Georgia

Gwinnett County Police are investigating several car break-ins that occurred on January 12 at the Mall of Georgia in Buford.

In one of the incidents, a Louisiana woman said she parked her car at the mall at approximately 5:20 p.m. When she returned just over an hour later, she discovered her MacBook Pro, iPod Touch, Nikon camera, iPad, jewelry and Nokia cell phone were missing. The woman said one of the back doors to the car was unlocked when she got to the vehicle. The total value of the stolen items was estimated to be $3,000.

Also, a Winder man reported a gun stolen in a similar break-in.
