Norcross Student in Coma After Joy Ride Accident
The driver was arrested on four charges, including driving without a license and a hit and run.
A student is in a coma after a joy ride accident Wednesday, according to WSB-TV.
The news station reported that Norcross PD believes eight students skipped school and went car surfing, which involves hanging on the side of a vehicle.
When the car was turning in a Norcross neighborhood off Beaver Ruin Road, it flipped and trapped 16-year-old Alex Mora under the car.

He is currently in a medically induced coma at Gwinnett Medical Center, according to WSB-TV.
The driver, also a Norcross High student, was arrested for reckless driving, a hit and run, driving without a license and serious injury by vehicle. Mora's family told WSB-TV that all but one student ran after the car crash.
