A memorial for Griffin and Jake Prince, the Buford brothers who were killed in a Lake Lanier boating collision last month, will be Monday in Gwinnett.

Griffin Prince, 13, and Jake Prince, 9, were killed June 18. They were aboard a pontoon boat being piloted by their father when another boat crashed into the Princes' boat late at night. The driver of the other boat, Paul J. Bennett, has been charged with boating under the influence.

The body of Griffin Prince was recovered last week after a nine-day search of the lake.

Griffin was a student at Lanier Middle School in Sugar Hill. Jake was a student at White Oak Elementary in Sugar Hill.

The family will have a private burial for the youths.

Patch will have more coverage of this development.

May the family soon be at peace and the boys rest. They are with the Lord now, a better home and place than this earth. I pray God will settle peace and rest on the parents, as a mother of 3 boys myself, similar ages, I feel the loss in my heart. May God Bless this family in this great time of need.
