Updated Dec. 27

A Suwanee man is being held without bond after a woman said she was raped, according to police.

Eddie Nathaniel Plunkett of a Davis Street address was booked into the Gwinnett Detention Center on Dec. 15 on charges of rape and sodomy/aggravated sodomy, according to jail records.

This is in connection with an incident that happened at the residence on Dec. 15, according to Suwanee Police. Units were dispatched in reference to a male hitting a female in the head, according to the incident report.

When the suspect answered the door, he had one boot on and was putting on another boot. The suspect told the officer that he did not know why police were at the residence, the report said.

An officer called out several times to identify himself, and later went down a hallway and knocked on a closed door. A woman answered the door and said she felt dizzy from being struck in the head by the suspect, the police report said.

A medical unit was summoned, and checked out the woman for injuries. While being treated, the woman said she had been raped by the suspect, the report said.

Police then transported the victim to the Gwinnett Sexual Assault Center.
