Suwanee Man Killed in Forsyth County

A 51-year-old man who was the victim of single vehicle fatality accident during a severe thunderstorm has been identified by authorities.

Forsyth County authorities have identified the man who was the victim of aΒ in south Forsyth County near the Johns Creek border Wednesday afternoon.

Kevin Neenan, 51, of Riverhaven Drive in Suwanee, was traveling northbound on Brookwood Road approximately 500 feet from the intersection of McGinnis Ferry Road when a large pine tree fell on the roof of his 2008 GMC Yukon.

According to Investigator Ron Tomblin of theΒ , Neenan was severely entrapped and had to be extricated out of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A severe thunderstorm with strong winds and heavy rain was passing through the county in the one o'clock hour at the time of the accident.
