Police Chase Suspect Is Injured in Gwinnett

The suspect fled a traffic stop and was struck by a responding Duluth Police vehicle.

Officers from Duluth Police Department, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), and Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD) are on the scene of a person hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Steve Reynolds Boulevard and Old Norcross Road. Β 

A Duluth police officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle in the city of Duluth. The suspect vehicle did not stop and fled a short distance before the driver abandoned the vehicle and continued to flee on foot. Β

GCPD units in the area became aware of the chase, saw the suspect on foot, and attempted to help apprehend him. The fleeing suspect was struck by a responding Duluth police vehicle. The suspect was transported from the scene by ambulance. Β 

The accident investigation is being handled by Georgia State Patrol and Duluth Police Depatment.
