Winder Resident: Woman Flashed Children

An Auburn resident has been charged with indecent exposure and possession of an open container.

An Auburn resident was arrested Saturday, Sept. 22, and charged with indecent exposure after a Winder resident reported her 3- and 4-year-old children were exposed to the woman's bare breasts.

A Winder police officer responding to the complaint observed the suspect with half her body hanging out the passenger side window of a vehicle traveling down Wood Avenue. The woman appeared to have nothing covering her breasts. According to an incident report, the woman then threw her arms up in the air and yelled at a group of men standing near the road, who yelled back.

When the officer executed a traffic stop on the vehicle, a juvenile was in the back seat, as well as an open container of alcohol that the suspect said belonged to her. When the officer asked the driver why she was allowing the juvenile to be exposed to the suspect's behavior, the driver said she didn't know her passenger would be flashing people.
