A Suwanee Park Branches Out

City staff and volunteers from around town plant several dogwood trees at White Street Park for an Arbor Day event.

Walt Disney once said that Disneyland would "never be finished." And so it seems with White Street Park in Suwanee.

The latest addition to the park came last Saturday, when about 20 volunteers joined Mayor Jimmy Burnette and Dan Robinson of the city planning department to plant 10 dogwood trees at the rear of the park, near Buford Highway. This was done in conjunction with Arbor Day and to maintain Suwanee's Tree City USA status for the 22nd straight year.
