UPDATE: Early 2012 Voting in Gwinnett Begins October 15

There will be a satellite voting office in Suwanee open before Election Day.

Election Day 2012 is near in Suwanee and Gwinnett, and advance voters will be able to cast ballots for national and local races beginning Monday, October 15.

According to the county website and newsletter, registered voters can cast ballots through Friday, Nov. 2 at the county Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Voting on Saturday will be available on Oct. 27, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also, there will be satellite voting in Suwanee at George Pierce Park on Oct. 29-Nov. 2, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Satellite locations also will be available in Snellville, Dacula and Norcross.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, with all voting at local Gwinnett precincts.

In addition to the presidential race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, there is a race of much interest to Suwanee and Gwinnett. The Gwinnett school board District III race is at stake, between incumbent Dr. Mary Kay Murphy and challenger Jen Falk.
