Gwinett Countians have recycled the most Christmas trees in the state for the past five years. Keep the streak alive!
Take your tree -- stripped of all decorations -- to the bin at Sims Lake Park anytime between Dec. 26, 2010, and Jan. 15, 2011. The "One for the Chipper" program, sponsored by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful, has kept more than 1 million trees out of landfills since it began in 1984. And the resulting mulch is used in county parks.
Sims Lake Park is only one of 28 locations to recycle your Christmas tree. See the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful website for a complete list.
