Groundbreaking Set for SR 20 Projects in Gwinnett

The projects were approved by commissioners earlier in 2013.

Two crucial transportation projects in northeastern Gwinnett County will get an official beginning Friday (July 19).

Officials from the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners and the Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a groundbreaking for SR 20 projects on Friday at 10 a.m. in Sugar Hill. The event will be at Sugar Hill Church, 5091 Nelson Brogdon Boulevard.

The projects are widening SR 20 from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to the Chattahoochee River, and replacing the bridge over the river. Earlier this year, Gwinnett commissioners approved both projects.
