Gwinnett County Tax Bills to Be Mailed by Aug. 15

Property taxes will be due Oct. 15.

Gwinnett County 2012 property tax bills will be in the mail by Thursday, Aug. 15. All bills will be due by Oct. 15. Taxpayers who wish to make two payments may do so, but the total amount must be paid in full by the Oct. 15 due date.

There are several ways to remit property tax payments:

  • Pay online by credit card or check at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com. (Convenience fees apply for credit card transactions; check payments are free.)
  • Mail payments to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046.
  • Pay by check using drop-off boxes 24 hours a day at all tax commissioner offices.
  • Pay in person during business hours at all tax commissioner offices.

Tax information will be provided to mortgage companies for property owners with escrow accounts, but it is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure taxes are paid by the due date. If there are questions about who will pay taxes, especially if there have been any recent changes with the mortgage company, homeowners are urged to contact their mortgage company directly.
