Health Check: Suwanee Big Splash Fountain

The signature fountain in Town Center Park opens Monday, April 1. But how did it do on a recent inspection?

Another sign of spring in Suwanee: the Big Splash interactive fountain in Town Center Park is to be turned on Monday, April 1.

And yes, it has to undergo routine health inspections by the Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale Health Department. That is the same department that does restaurant health inspections.

And the fountain, which regularly hosts youths from Suwanee and from visiting groups (who need reservations), got a positive inspection on March 28. No violations were cited. The full report is here.

The fountain has 43 jets and uses up to 1,400 gallons of water per minute. The water is recycled, according to the city website.
