Income Tax Deadline Is Monday

Suwanee Post Office will be open for mailing returns.

If you want to get your income tax return postmarked by the filing deadline, you need to get it to the Suwanee Post Office by Monday, April 18. The last daily collection is 5:15 p.m.

Taxpayers needing extra time can mail their returns at other nearby locations. The Lawrenceville North office, located at 1557 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, will remain open until 7 p.m., and the Boggs Road Postal Store, located at 1605 Boggs Road in Duluth, will stay open until midnight.

Typically, tax returns are due on April 15. This year, the deadline has been extended to April 18 in observation of Emancipation Day in the District of Columbia. The State of Georgia has also extended its filing deadline to April 18 to coincide with the federal due date.
