Forum Set for Gwinnett Judicial Candidates

Gwinnett County Bar Association is hosting forum for candidates for Gwinnett Probate, Superior and State Court judgeships Friday in Duluth.

The Gwinnett County Bar Association is hosting a judicial candidates forum at its monthly luncheon at noon Friday, May 18, at the in Duluth. Candidates for Gwinnett Superior, State and Probate Court have been invited to participate, Gwinnett Bar Association President Matt Reeves announced.

The candidates so far include Chris Ballar and Marlene Duwell for Gwinnett Probate Court judge. Gwinnett Superior Court judge candidates are Tracey Mason Blasi, Chris McClurg, Kathy Schrader, and Giles Sexton. Emily Brantley, Pam Britt, Norman Cuadra, Greg Lundy, and Richard Winegarden are candidates for State Court of Gwinnett judge.

The lunch costs $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Reservations are not required.

This is the Gwinnett Bar Association's 50th Anniversary year. The State Bar of Georgia recently gave Best Law Day and Best Newsletter awards to the Gwinnett Bar, Reeves said.

The Gwinnett Bar has raised $45,000 of its $50,000 goal to establish an endowed scholarship at Georgia Gwinnett College during its golden anniversary year, he reported.
