Lasseter To Meet Constituents in Suwanee on Saturday
The Gwinnett commissioner will be at Fire Station 13 near City Hall.
Gwinnett Commissioner Shirley Lasseter, whose district includes Suwanee, plans to meet with constituents Saturday in the heart of the city.
Lasseter will be at Fire Station 13 on Buford Highway across from Town Center from 10-11 a.m. for a meet and greet, it was announced Thursday.
The commissioner's District 1 also includes Duluth and the western part of the county. She is in her first term as commissioner and will be up for re-election in 2012.

The commissioners have a number of strong issues on their collective plate now, including the 2012 budget, potential privatization of Briscoe Field and settlement of the Strategic Delivery Service dispute with the Gwinnett Municipal Association. A court ruling in the SDS matter favors the cities, but the county is appealing that.
