Some Suwanee Streets To Be Resurfaced

Portions of four city streets will get the treatment.

Some Suwanee streets are in for a makeover.

Suwanee City Council approved Tuesday (Aug. 27) a contract to resurface four city streets, totaling 1.57 miles.

The streets and sections are:

  • Silver Peak Parkway (in a residential area off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard);
  • Mill Creek Run (off Burnette Road);
  • Burnette Road (between Buford Highway and McGinnis Ferry Road);
  • a section of Ansley Park Drive.
Allied Paving Contractors was contracted to handle the work, at a cost of about $322,958.71. The Georgia Department of Transportation is providing $112,117.77 through a grant. Suwanee is using SPLOST funds for its portion.
