Sugar Hill Sets Grand Opening for New City Hall

The structure will be dedicated on January 13, 2013.

That new City Hall building going up in Sugar Hill is all but done, and it will have a formal dedication soon.

The city has scheduled grand opening ceremonies for Sunday, January 13, 2013, from 1-4 p.m., according to a city newsletter.

The event will showcase the new building, as well as an amenity pond and an amphitheater behind City Hall, where concerts and events will be held.

On display on the first floor will be documents from the city's early days. Also, there will be a "living history" videotaping project, in which residents will provide personal accounts of what it was like growing up in Sugar Hill in the city's early days.
