Suwanee Amends Amount for PIB Landscaping

The change was necessary because of replanting some of the grasses.

The Suwanee City Council on Tuesday (October 24) amended the amount that it will pay for landscaping medians along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

The council voted unanimously to pay Russell Landscape Group $49,372 of the total cost of $82,677 for redoing about two miles of medians on PIB.

The change was necessary because some of the grasses planted in the medians died shortly after the landscaping was begun earlier this year. After re-planting in the fall, the grasses will be ready when the spring rains come.

City Manager Josh Campbell said the new amount is still "well under budget."
