Suwanee Plans Arbor Day Planting at Park on Saturday

Dogwood trees will be planted at White Street Park.

Suwanee officials plan to plant 10 dogwood trees at White Street Park on Saturday, March 10, 9 a.m. This is part of the city's ongoing efforts as a Tree City USA for 22 consecutive years.

City staff and citizens are invited to plant the trees. They will be located at an open area to the rear of the popular community garden, known as Harvest Farm.

The entire park area has undergone several changes, much of them under the guidance of volunteer of Suwanee. Among the projects she has designed are a sitting area to the side of the garden and an arbor on the sidewalk leading to the rear of the park.
