Suwanee Begins 9/11 Ceremony

Patriotism and commemoration were running strong Saturday evening at Town Center Park in Suwanee as the city prepared its ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States.

Gwinnett Fire officials brought out the American flag across from City Hall, and Remembrance, the 1,638-pound steel artifact from the World Trade Center, was prepared for unveiling.

The ceremony was set for 7 p.m., with Mayor Dave Williams among those to deliver remarks.
