Suwanee Big Splash Fountain To Open April 2

A rite of spring in Suwanee: The popular Big Splash interactive fountain in Town Center Park will reopen on Monday, April 2, just in time for spring break for students, according to the city's Facebook page.

This year, the city is implementing a reservation system for fountain use for daycare operations. Organized visitations can often cause a human crunch with individual parents or caretakers who bring children to the park.

Among the reservation requirements:

• Group use of the fountain will be by reservation only, and only on non-holiday Monday-Thursdays. Reservations will not be available on Fridays or holidays.
• There are two time periods available for groups each day: 9:30am to 12:00pm, and 1:00pm to 3:30pm.
• Limit of two groups per time period. Maximum of 50 children per group.

Also, the fountain got some renovations in the off-season. Workers leveled all the pavers that shifted over the years. Also, workers replaced the diaphragms and aligned the heads to improve the spray.
