UPDATE: Work Planned on Brushy Creek Trail in Suwanee

Council approval is granted; also, work continues on Suwanee Creek Greenway.

More work on a popular Suwanee trail is planned.  approved Tuesday the work on the Brushy Creek Greenway Project.

QK4, a Kentucky-based engineering firm, was awarded the project. Cost will be about $105,000, according to Josh Campbell, planning director.

The work would be for design and construction management of Brushy Creek Greenway and pedestrian crossing improvements at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard/Suwanee Dam Road. The trail work would be from Suwanee Dam Road to Stonecypher Road and PlayTown Park, offcials said. It's too early to tell when work will actually take place.

SUWANEE CREEK GREENWAY UPDATE: In other Suwanee trail news, the Suwanee Creek Greenway section between Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Martin Farm Road is now open, according to the city's Facebook page. Rehabilitation work has been completed on this section. The greenway section between Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Suwanee Elementary will now be closing for similar rehabilitation work. All re-construction is expected to be finished in July.
