Two Suwanee Organizations Honored by GCVB

City Hall, Suwanee Sports Academy are recognized for innovation and economic benefit, respectively.

and the popular have been given some top awards by the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The city and publicist Lynne DeWilde won the Innovative Marketer of the Year Award. This award is given to the person or organization who is creative, visionary, and continually works to maximize their assets and achievements in new and creative ways, according to the GCVB. Suwanee was recognized for their efforts to integrate public art and the visual arts into the psyche of the city, and their consistent support of the GCVB.

The sports academy and GM Mike Eddy won the Sports Partner of the Year award, also citing its economic benefit.

This is given by the Gwinnett Sports Commission in recognition of a group/facility that consistently works and strategizes with the Sports Commission to create and host new "room-night generating" sports events, according to the GCVB. The SSA was recognized as one of Gwinnett’s premier venues, with staff that are creating a direct economic impact for Gwinnett’s hotels with their strong regional and  national slate of events.
