Suwanee May Annex Business Property

The owners approached Suwanee after the owners were approached by another Gwinnett city.

A business in unincorporated Suwanee has requested that its location be annexed into the city limits.

According to city documents, Ultrapure Properties at 325 Brogdon Road (see the attached map) formally requested annexation into the city in a letter in October.

The letter reads, "Another neighboring municipality has approached us to be annexed into their city. However, after some due diligence, we feel our best option for our business is to be associated with The City of Suwanee."

The "neighboring municipality" was Sugar Hill, according to Suwanee officials.

The property location involves one business -- Ultrapure Technology, which is a distribution company for cleanroom products that has been in business since 1993, according to the owners' letter to the city.

The business has a 14,000 square foot building on 1.8 acres, and it has parking for 20 vehicles and two handicapped spots. Also, there are docking bays and drive-in bays.

The matter could come up for a City Council vote as soon as the Dec. 17 meeting.
