Suwanee To Hold Public Hearing on Millage Rate

There will be a called meeting Thursday at City Hall.

Anyone wanting to speak out about the Suwanee 2013 millage rate will have an official chance to do so Thursday (Aug. 15).

The City Council will hold a called meeting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall for a public hearing on the millage rate, which is proposed to be 4.93 mills. That is the same as the current rate for property taxes.

The rate is scheduled to be on the Aug. 27 City Council agenda for approval.

The current budget of $12.1 million went into effect on July 1.

Thursday's called meeting will precede a council work session, at which official business will not be taken.
