"Muslims for Life" is back!

This year the organizers have raised the bar and the target has been set to 11,000 units in one month starting from August 11 to September 11.

“We prescribed for the children of Israel that whosoever killed a person — unless it be for killing a person or for creating disorder in the land — it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and whoso gave life to one, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind”. (Holy Quran 5:33)

Its time again to join hands with Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, U.S.A., in giving the gift of life to thousands in remembrance of those who died on September 11th, 2001, a day which change the world as we knew.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, U.S.A launched its ‘Muslims for Life’ campaign last year at the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in an attempt to cleanse the image of Islam as a violent religion tarnished by the actions of a few who called themselves Muslim and masterminded this attack.

The organizers categorically denounce any form of terrorism and the community bears the motto: ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’.

The community’s fifth Khalifa (world wide spiritual leader) His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad just recently finished his tour of U.S.A. On 27 June 2012, he was welcomed to Capitol Hill, in Washington D.C., where he delivered a keynote address entitled ‘The Path to Peace – Just Relations between Nations’ to an audience filled with more than 30 members of the United States Congress, including Honorable Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Leader in the House of Representatives.

Following the event, His Holiness was given a tour of the Capitol Hill building, before being escorted to the House of Representatives where a Resolution was introduced in honor of his visit to the United States.
The introductory paragraph of the Resolution stated:
“Welcoming His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide spiritual and administrative head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to Washington, DC, and recognizing his commitment to world peace, justice, nonviolence, human rights, religious freedom and democracy.”
Last year the campaign was highly successful and the community had a total of 278 blood drives in 168 cities around the country surpassing its goal of 10,000 blood units, ending with more than 11,000 units nation wide in the month of Septemeber.

This year the organizers have raised the bar and the target has been set to 11,000 units in one month starting from August 11 to September 11. Blood drives will be planned with Red Cross and other local organizations in all 71 Chapters around the country.

Anybody and everybody who believes in the sanctity of life is welcome to join the campaign by donating blood, sponsoring a blood drive or even spreading the word.
