Buford Athlete Dies Three Days After Collapsing at School

The 16-year-old fell ill while running.

A 16-year-old Buford youth has died three days after collapsing during a workout at Buford High School, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Adam Smith, a varsity basketball player, was running during a Sept. 13 preseason workout when he stopped to tell a teacher he was not feeling well. Moments later, Smith collapsed and was transported to Northside Hospital-Forsyth where he died Sunday night (Click here to read the full AJC article).
