Suwanee Nonprofit Haitian Leadership Education Tour

National speaking tour for the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (H.E.L.P.) kicks-off in Suwanee, Georgia on Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4, 2012 with presentations on the economic impact being created by the Haitian leadership education initiative supported by the Suwanee nonprofit Haitian Timoun Foundation (HTF). Both events are free and open to the public.

The events feature how a local nonprofit and Suwanee citizens are working to reverse the knowledge drain in Haiti to create a motivated middle class of Haitian professionals to positively impact Haiti’s economy.

Speakers include Haitian H.E.L.P. college students Daphnee Charles, agronomy major; Theodule Jean-Baptiste, medical student; and the Suwanee Haitian Timoun Foundation (HTF) Executive Director, Rick Barger. The H.E.L.P. national tour includes California, Colorado, Florida, Nebraska and Ohio and is sponsored by the Haitian Timoun Foundation (HTF) based in Suwanee, GA.
