Suwanee will be getting a new middle school beginning with the 2014-15 school year -- and people can assist in naming the new facility.
According to a Gwinnett Schools' news release, the new school is at 1212 Northbrook Parkway, and will be part of the Peachtree Ridge cluster.
A school naming committee, which consists mostly of residents in the Hull Middle School Zone, has been formed, and is tasked with developing recommended names to submit to the superintendent. The Gwinnett school board will vote on recommended names on Nov. 21.
The comittee will give consideration to names of communities served by the school, roads, landmarks, and geographical locations in proximity to the school, the release said.
Individuals and groups can submit recommended names through Nov. 5 through this form.
