Savings on School Supplies In Suwanee

It's that time of the year again! School starts for Suwanee kids on August 6.

Believe it or not, summer vacation is drawing to a close in Suwanee, and most of the kids will be returning to class on Monday, August 6. New clothes, backpacks, and shoes are only a fraction of what our scholars will need to get through the year. Here are some great ways to save money while stocking up for school.

Sale prices are usually good from Monday through Wednesday, so take advantage of deals earlier in the week if you can.

This year, many local grocery store prices, like Kroger, are just as low or lower than office supply stores. Kroger has already offered 24-pack crayons for just 0.25 cents several times this summer. They may run them again soon. Toys R Us is also currently selling crayons for 4/$1.

Just a short drive to Target will yield many a deal. Just some of the bargains include 12-count glue sticks for $3 and ball-point pens for 0.94 cents. Markers can be found as cheap as $1 and 1-inch binders are $2.

has twin pocket portfolios for just 15 cents. A 10-pack of pens is just 34 cents, and a spiral notebook can be had for 39 cents. Composition books are also merely 50 cents.

As for bigger items, such as backpacks and shoes, keep an eye on your Sunday newspaper inserts for coupons. Also try visiting websites of the stores you plan on stopping at, Staples has a $5 off coupon on their website.

For those of you that can wait for certain items, try waiting till the week after school starts. Many stores will clearance out their items to make room for the next event. Last year, offered folders for 10 cents and notebooks at the same price.

Happy shopping, Suwanee!
