School's Out in Suwanee -- Finally

Friday ends the year for GCPS students after snow makeup days.

The 2010-11 school year for students in Gwinnett County public schools ends Friday, May 27. And graduation dates for Suwanee's three high schools follow over the weekend.

All were delayed because of the five days of school lost to the snow/ice storm that shut down the area in January. Good Friday (April 22) was among the days selected for a makeup day, and graduation dates are running through the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The 2011-12 school year will begin Aug. 8.

The graduation routine for Suwanee schools: Collins Hill, Saturday, May 28, 3:30 p.m.; Peachtree Ridge, Sunday, May 29, 2 p.m.; North Gwinnett, Monday, May 30, 8 p.m. All events will be at the Gwinnett Center.
