2012 Suwanee High School Football Begins Aug. 17

The three area high schools have preseason games scheduled. Regular season begins Aug. 25.

The games won't officially count for at least another week, but Suwanee high school football cranks up Friday, Aug. 17, with several scrimmages.

Collins Hill hosts Archer, Peachtree Ridge hosts Lovejoy, and North Gwinnett takes on Stephenson at Hallford Stadium in DeKalb County in pre-season activity Friday.

Then on Aug. 25, North Gwinnett, the three-time defending region champion, and Peachtree Ridge open regular season play in the Corky Kell Classic in the Georgia Dome. Collins Hill opens regular season play Aug. 31 vs. Central Gwinnett.

Also this year, the Suwanee schools and some Gwinnett rivals join the new 6-A classification. Here's the new Region 7-AAAAAA alignment.
