2014 Sochi Olympics: What Time are Opening Ceremonies Televised?

Catch a glimpse of Douglasville's Elana Meyers and Peachtree City's Kyle Carr.

To get an early look at Georgia's athletes in Sochi, the best you can do is catch the tape-delayed Olympic opening ceremonies televised by NBC starting Friday at 7:30 p.m. — unless you look toward Canada.

Elana Meyers, of Douglasville, is on the bobsled team, and Kyle Carr, from Peachtree City, will compete in speed skating.

NBC has decided not to livestream those athletes or any other marching in the opening, which actually begins Friday at 11 a.m.

In Candada, though, CBC will show the Olympic opening ceremonies in real time. Forbes has some tips on how to watch the Canadian coverage — legally, it says — for free from the United States.
